ICE OUT!  

Friday the day before fishing opener the ice went out in Poplar Lake. While I have not checked all the other mid-size lake I know that Hungry Jack Lake ice is out and I suspect these lake are now ice free. Little Ollie Lake ice and the smaller lakes ice disappeared about a week earlier.

GREAT WINTER SEASON ON THE BANADAD

OPENING THE BANADAD FOR SKI MOVES AHEAD  

There is 7 - 8 inches of snow on the ground. About 75 % of the Banadad is opened and packed. The Lace Lake, Tall Pines and Knapp are all opened and packed. Images from the North Star Touring Club trail crew clearing on the trail's west end taken on October 27.

BANADAD TRAIL WORK DAY AND EIGIHTH ANNUAL MEETING/POT LUCK DINNER  

The Banadad Trail Association (BTA) eighth  Annual  Meeting will be held- Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Schaap Community Center on the Gunflint Trail - next to the Fire Hall and just off the Lima Grade intersection.
